Allocate an existing guest cleaning charge to the property owner for one booking. You can also correct the cleaning amount for an individual booking when the transaction is still editable.
Choose the cleaning charge, not its payment
Open the Guest Charges – Cleaning Fee entry. Guest Charge Payment records money received and serves a different purpose. Selecting Pay Owner changes the allocation in BookingTrust; the owner receives the money through the usual disbursement and bank payment process.

Before you start
- Check the property, booking and cleaning amount, and confirm that the owner should receive this charge.
- Check whether the booking has already been disbursed. The available controls depend on the transaction, your permissions and its financial history.
- If the charge comes from your property management system (PMS), check the source record before making a manual correction. This helps avoid duplicate or conflicting charges.
Pay the owner for one booking
- Find the booking and select + to expand its menu.
- Open Payment Record.
- Find Guest Charges – Cleaning Fee and select View on that row. Check the transaction details.
- Select Pay Owner and accept the confirmation prompt.
- Wait for the success message, then reopen the booking to check the payment allocation and owner return.
Before the next payout, review the property’s Booking Report (owner statement). Check that the cleaning amount is allocated as intended and that no duplicate cleaning charge remains.
If Pay Owner is unavailable, check that you opened the cleaning charge rather than its payment. If the booking has already been disbursed, send the booking and transaction numbers to support@bookingtrust.com.au before changing its history.
Change the cleaning amount for one booking
- Open Payment Record and select View beside Guest Charges – Cleaning Fee.
- If Edit is available, open it and enter the correct amount.
- Select Save, then check the booking balance, related cleaning entries and owner return.
A released booking may still allow this correction before disbursement. If editing is unavailable, use Edit or remove a management fee or booking charge to check the next step.
Ongoing cleaning arrangements
A one-off change does not establish the cleaning arrangement for every booking. For an ongoing change, go to Properties > Active Properties, find the property and open Fee Rates. The cleaning amount, who receives it, and whether management commission applies to it are separate decisions.
Use Overriding Global Fees for property-specific rates. If the owner should always receive the cleaning fee, ask support to check the standing setup against your agreed arrangement. Fee-rate changes can recalculate eligible current bookings, so review affected bookings and the next owner statement after the change.
