Create one owner contact and link the owner’s properties to that record. If your PMS does not supply owner details, imported properties may initially show the property manager as the owner.
Check for an existing contact first
Search by the owner’s name and email before adding another record. An owner with several properties usually needs one owner contact, with a separate bank destination only where required.

Add the owner contact
- Go to Contacts > Owners and search for the owner. If the contact already exists, check and use that record.
- For a new owner, go to Contacts > Add Contact and select Owner/Landlord as the account type.
- Enter the owner’s email and contact details. If an existing-contact message appears, check the match before continuing; do not create a second identity to bypass it.
- Review Don’t Invite. Leave it selected if the owner should not receive a console invitation. Contact support if you want to enable owner-console access.
- Check the name, email and account type, then select Save. Open View Profile to review the saved record.

Complete the owner’s payment setup
- Add the owner’s bank account and confirm the intended default destination.
- For an imported property still assigned to the manager, link the property to its owner. Check the owner name on each property afterwards.
- If one property needs a different bank destination, set an account for that property instead of duplicating the owner contact.
- Review the property’s owner and payment details before the next disbursement. Saving a contact does not itself pay the owner.
Common questions
The owner is listed, but their property is not linked. Should I add the owner again?
No. Check the property’s owner allocation and link it to the existing contact. Creating a contact and assigning a property are separate steps.
Two owners share an email address. What should I do?
Ask support how to represent the ownership and contact details for your account. Use accurate contact information rather than inventing an email to get past a duplicate check.
Has the property actually changed owners?
Use Change a property’s owner so the ownership records are handled through the correct process.
