Use a property-specific bank account when one property needs a different payment destination from the owner’s usual account. The owner’s other properties continue to use their applicable default or property-specific settings.
Set up the owner’s default account first
Keep one owner contact for the portfolio. Add the usual bank account to that owner, then add a separate property account only for the exception.

Add or edit the property’s bank account
- Check that the correct owner is linked and that their usual bank account is recorded.
- Go to Active Properties, find the property and select More Details.
- Select Bank Account at the top of the property details.
- Select Add Property Account to enter the destination for this property, or edit its existing property account.
- Enter the required bank details and check the property, account name and account number. Select Save and reopen the record to verify it.
Check the destination before disbursement
Review both the owner’s default bank account and this property’s account so you can explain which destination is intended. Check the payee details when you prepare the bank payment. An account record by itself does not send money.
Do not add the same property exception to every property unless that is the intended arrangement. If several properties use one usual account, that account belongs on the owner’s record.
Common questions
I changed the owner’s bank details. Does this property now use them?
Check the property-specific record. A property exception may still specify a different destination.
How do I return a property to the owner’s default destination?
Check the available property-account controls or ask support before removing a record. Verify the intended destination afterwards, especially if payment files are already being prepared.
Can I use this to change the property’s owner?
No. Bank destination and ownership are separate. Use Change a property’s owner for an actual ownership change.
