Setting up the GL Codes in Newbook

Newbook’s GL code setup includes a field needed for BookingTrust connectivity. It appears only when the Newbook team has enabled the BookingTrust connection.

The setting identifies each inventory item as a fee payable to the owner or a management fee. Review each inventory item’s GL code so its charges are identified correctly.

1. In Newbook’s search menu at the top left, search for GL Accounts and open it.
2. At the right of each account, find BookingTrust: Payable to Owner, shown as Yes or No.
3. Select each applicable GL account code.

4. Select Edit GL Account.

5. Select Yes if the GL code is payable to the owner.

This field is also described as BookingTrust to pay owners in the GL-code setup.

The default is Yes. Change it to No on every GL code that is not paid to the owner.

For example, set Cot hire to No so guest charges with that GL code are paid to management rather than the owner.
